Mechanical Design Engineer – Functional Design
THE POSITION
We are looking for a Mechanical Design Engineer with a strong aptitude for Functional Design.
The professional we are seeking goes beyond simple modeling and is able to design the architecture of a machine, understanding its flows, movements, and structural requirements.
You will join a team where every project represents a different engineering challenge.
Contract: Permanent position
Work location: Operational headquarters (with flexibility for client-site activities / remote work to be evaluated)
WORK ACTIVITY
- Concept Development: You will transform client requirements into functional architectures, defining mechanical systems and subsystems.
- Advanced 2D/3D Design: You will use major CAD software (AutoCAD, Inventor, SolidWorks, Catia, Solid Edge) to develop complex assemblies.
- Product Engineering: You will be responsible for component modeling, functional sizing, and preparing precise production-ready technical drawings.
- Technical Management: You will follow projects from the conceptual phase to production launch, interacting with suppliers and clients to ensure the highest quality outcome.
- On-site Problem Solving: You will operate both at our headquarters and at partner facilities, managing technical complexity directly on-site when necessary.
HARD SKILLS
- Background: Technical diploma or degree in Mechanical Engineering (or related fields).
- Toolbox: Strong knowledge of major 2D/3D CAD software and the ability to critically read and interpret technical drawings.
- Analytical Mindset: Basic knowledge of simulation software to validate design choices during the concept phase will be considered a plus.
SOFT SKILLS
- Attitude: We are looking for a flexible professional, able to move between projects with agility and with a strong focus on achieving the final result.
