Hydroelectric turbine design
We design hydroelectric projects with Pelton,
Francis, Kaplan, and Archimedean screw turbines
1.
We evaluate the design path to determine the hydraulic geometries and perform the fluid dynamic checks based on the design data (jump and flow). We do this not only for the active part, such as the volute, impeller, distributor or shaft and impeller, but also for manifolds, fittings, and rebuilds of old machines.
2.
Once the hydraulic project has been completed, we move on to the industrialization of the machine, which must take into account the mechanical part, linked to production technologies, budget, production times up to structural checks and fatigue analysis.
3.
Finally, we prepare the executive design with the bill of materials together with the construction details with the materials, processing methods and tolerances applied.
4.
We can also perform transient water hammer simulations, i.e. accurate predictions of system behavior during critical dynamic conditions, to ensure safety and reliability prior to commissioning.
